This test is used for patients with pulmonary artery hypertension to determine functional capacity. Your blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen level will be checked before and after the test. A nurse will walk close to you.
Why you are having this procedure (symptoms/indications):
To determine exercise tolerance and functional capacity in patients with pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH)
Prep for the procedure:
Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes.
What to expect:
To walk as far as you can in six (6) minutes at a normal pace.
